Why Customers are First |
|
I had my first job at age 11, working an ice cream route in Richmond. By 13, I took at job at the Richmond Inn where I worked as a bus boy until I turned 18. These early experiences taught me to respect the wishes of others if I wanted to succeed in life and in business. My first adult job was at BC Plumbing Supplies. After six months I decided to follow in my father's footsteps, and pursue plumbing as a career. After completing my pre-apprenticeship program at BCIT, I was hired by Pascoe Williams, where I served my apprenticeship specializing in design; building commercial plumbing and mechanical systems. After 8 years I was presented with a chance of a lifetime. I bid on, and received a maintenance contract for BC Housing. I immediately formed Ashton Mechanical Ltd. with myself, my wife, and my tool kit. All business owners know it takes energy, commitment to the customer, commitment to the community, and hard work in order to succeed. We have always held firm to that belief and work ethic. Even our staff demonstrates the kind of values that reflect service to family, community and customers. I am delighted to say that Ashton Mechanical Ltd. has been in business for over 20 years now and employs 30 people and have recently changed our name to better reflect everything we offer our clients. Our new DBA Ashton Service Group and our philosophy Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning, Gas and so much more, is both what we do and what we strive to offer. At Ashton we believe that one call does it all. |
